The Declaration of Independence is defined as, “the formal statement written by Thomas Jefferson declaring the freedom of the thirteen American colonies from Great Britain. An example of the Declaration of Independence was the document adopted at the Second Continental Congress on July 4th, 1776.” In the article of the Declaration of Independence in 50 essays it shows both the draft of the declaration and the genuine Declaration of Independence. In the first half it presents the draft of the declaration which in my opinion is a lot less powerful than the real one. Indeed the draft was only Thomas Jefferson presenting it to Benjamin Franklin and John Adams. In the Second half it shows the posted Declaration of Independence which was much more straightforward and more commanding.
