"As it happens my own reverence for water has always taken the form of this constant meditation upon where the water is,... in the movement of water through aqueducts and siphons and pumps and forebays and afterbays and weirs and drains, in plumbing on the grand scale." In the article Holy Waters by Joan Didion it doesnt talk about drinking water like a normal person, it goes into her mind of when she drinks the water thinking about all of the different possible places where it could've come from. I thought this was very interesting because any normal person wouldnt go into that much detail of thought while drinking a cup of water. It was something interesteing to think about.
